Review: A Honeyed Light

A Honeyed Light A Honeyed Light by Freddie Milano
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

This was a sweet story and I liked it but it felt like it didn't have enough substance to be a five star read so I go for four stars.

Kunal is closeted and works at his parents restaurant with his siblings. Oscar owns a sex shop and likes to get to know Kunal. He invites him to go bowling with him and his friends.

I think the storyline was good, and the writing style is easy and have enough dialogues to make it hold my interest.
The characters are lacking some description in my opinion because I don't get the feeling of knowing them well enough.

What I did absolutely love in this story is the little bits of poetry Oscar makes for Kunal, I absolutely adore it!!!!

My conclusion is that even though this is not my favourite it's not a waste of time if you like a sweet story with a HEA!

Review: Stone Brothers Complete Series

Stone Brothers Complete Series Stone Brothers Complete Series by Tess Oliver
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A good read

The writing style is easy to read just like I prefer it. The story is good. The Stone brothers had a rough childhood but are good guys. Colton, Hunter and Slade are the girls in the towns hot dream but they never commit to anyone.
In each book one of them find love until they all are in relationships. The road there is sweet, fun, action filled. The characters lacks describing in my opinion and I don't get the feeling I need to give top score, but it's a good 4 star read.

The Farther He Runs The Farther He Runs by Lynda Aicher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: December 6th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

This is the third book in the Kick series and I haven't read the previous books but this can easily be read as a standalone.

Finn was injured in an accident that killed his friend Chris and now their friend Tanner is visiting to say goodbye to their mutual friend. The three friend has served in the military together and have a close bound.

In many ways I find the writing chaotic in the beginning but after a while I got used to it and it grew on me. It's leaving me with a lot feelings and the honest description of the characters are very liberating to read.

I can sense the feelings between Finn and Tanner from the beginning of the book and the building up to they acknowledge their love to each other is beautiful written.

The author is describing the challenges they have with family in a distended way but still you can understand all the troubles Finn goes trough because his family discarded him when he came out and how it eats at Tanner hiding his sexuality from his family.

I loved this book and I'm definitely going to read the others in this series.

Wrapped Together Wrapped Together by Annabeth Albert
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: December 6th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

This story was so sweet and I couldn't stop reading. If I should make any remarks it must be that I thought the beginning was a little slow but I still really love this story.

This was a book about losing someone can make you afraid of making commitments to anyone until that someone special breaks the barrier.

The writing style is light and fun and have enough dialogues for me to like it a lot. I laughed at Sawyer's poetry tries goofy personality, and Hollis introvert personality made me feel like we where kindred spirits.

I feel like the author did a very good job at describing the characters in a way that made me feel like I knew them well by the end of the book.

The love scenes was intense and filled with emotions, I could sense the love between the characters.

This is a book in a series but can absolutely be read as a standalone. I recommend this book to anyone who like a sweet, hot and fun m/m romance. I'm definitely reading more from this author. 5 golden stars!

Dom X - The Complete Box Set Dom X - The Complete Box Set by M.S. Parker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Heartbreaking and sweet

X is a hero and get injured when saving a boy and a man from a fire. In the hospital he meets Nori that's a nurse.
The story is good and the characters are well written. I like the authors writing style but it's lacking something to say I LOVE it. However this book was great and I had problems leaving it alone. The road for X and Nori is rocky but in the end they get there.
This is obviously a recommendation if you like heroes, light D/S relationships and happy endings.

Review: Protecting What's His

Protecting What's His Protecting What's His by Tessa Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first Tessa Bailey book and I instantly fell in love with Derek and Ginger and also the author;-) I've since read every one of Tessa's books and like them all, some more then others. This book will forever be one of my favourites, and this is the third time I read it, I also bought the audiobook so I could listen to it and I liked the voice very much.

Derek is so sweet, protective and jealous and this is instantly love between two people. Ginger is so tough on the outside but she need what Derek can give her; safety and love.

The storyline is good and the characters are well described with lots of feelings. All the filthy talk is Tessa's signature, she is the queen of filthy talk in my opinion. Maybe that's one of the reasons I like her books so much.

Derek and Ginger are on my repeat read list forever!

Review: Wicked Need

Wicked Need Wicked Need by Sawyer Bennett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another hit

Cat has been coming to the silo with her very much older husband to enjoy having other men because her husband is not able to help her. That's what everyone think including Rand who has a soft spot for her. But the truth is ugly and Rand is a knight in shining armour.
I liked this story very much and I'm now truly addicted to this series.

The writing style is great, easy to read but still makes me be dragged in to the story and feel so much.
I laughed, cried and got excited for many reasons. The characters are well described and there is a good amount of dialogues which makes me like it even more.

The thing that really hits me is how much I enjoy all the filthy talking characters, at fist I felt a little shocked but it suits the story and now I can't imagine this books without the rough language.

This story still have some more serious thoughts to it, how can a person who's going trough life feeling used and sacrificed ever manage to have self respect and feel worthy? I feel utterly sorry for Cat and cheers for Rand to reach through to her.

What I also like is that all the books CAN be read as a standalone but it's probably even better read in order.

Review: The Harder He Falls

The Harder He Falls The Harder He Falls by Lynda Aicher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great story

Grady and Micha's story is the first in this series but I read it in wrong order so I've already read the two other books.
Grady is struggling with his concise after a rafting accident that kills one man and leaves his cousin in a coma. He meats Micha at the hospital visiting his cousin and he doesn't know Micha has his own struggles.

I love, love, love this series, it's one of the best M/M romance series I've read. And this book doesn't let me down at all.

The writing style is easy to follow and there are enough dialogues to make it interesting and never boring. The characters are well described and makes me get to know them.

I think the build up in the book was very good, not to much suspense but it still makes me want a little more and I turn the pages even if I'm so tired I almost can't keep my eyes open.

Two souls in denial and struggling to accept their situation comes together and makes a connection that's beautiful described.

Wound Tight Wound Tight by Tessa Bailey

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Renner is working hard running his business and has no time for love. Milo is his security guard and even though Renner thinks he's straight he can't help wanting the guy. Things heat up even more when Milo reach out for help from Renner to approach a guy he thinks he has a crush on. Will Renner help our will the fire within him destroy them both?

The first book with M/M romance from this author and I have a lot to say about it. First of all it couldn't have been released at a better time. Second; why haven't you done this before Tessa Bailey? Third, I read a lot of M/M romance and she can compete with any of the best authors of this genre in my opinion as a reader.

It was fucktastic(that should be a word), I loved every second of it because it was sizzling from the first sentences. The banter between Renner and Milo is hilarious and I laughed out loud sometimes, but it was hot as hell even when it was fun.

I loved that Renner took charge and Milo discovered that he really enjoyed that and even craved it. Milo's need to take care of Renner is absolutely adorable and Renner wants to meet all of Milo's needs. Both men make new discoveries about themselves and learn to accept that life can take different turns and you have to adjust to the new path.

Renner need to protect himself from being hurt again in light of his earlier experiences. Milo is trying to discover this new side of himself and that takes courage, but he is a man whose glass is half full and he don't give up on himself or Renner.

The build up in this story was great and even if I tried to guess what comes next in the story the surprises kept coming.

It's no news that I addicted to this author and I enjoy her writing style. She IS the queen of words and she's making the characters come alive for me so I feel like I participate in their life's every step of the way. However, I'm always trying to be objective when I review a story so if it's not to my liking I will say it.
But this one is in my top then of M/M romances!!!!!!!!

This little snippet made me laugh so hard that I have to read it out loud to my friend that heard me laughing:

“I can see your feet beneath the door,” Renner called, and Milo mouthed a curse. “Actually, I’ve been out here listening to you abuse hangers and call the clock a bitch.”

Tessa Bailey produced a sizzling hot 5 star read, so queen of words keep writing M/M romances because I will be reading it. I'll even reduce myself to begging you to write more........

Review: Wrong for Me

Wrong for Me Wrong for Me by Jackie Ashenden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Publishing date: November 29th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review.*
Levi comes out of prison after eight years with a plan that includes Rachel, his former friend.
The story was full of emotions and the characters struggled with a lot of issues from earlier days.

This was a book that's easy to read because the author has a way of writing that gets the book flowing easy in my mind. I felt that this book had a deeper meaning than just what we can read on the surface. Both the characters had a childhood with challenges and that makes them more afraid of loss in life.

The way the author slowly closes in on the deeper meaning of the book is very good and makes me get to know the characters better.

The message I could get out of this book was that we all changes over years and our dreams and goals in life can also change.

I liked this book, not the best I've read but well worth the time I spent reading it.

My first book from this author I don't know if I was enjoying.....the hotness level is big but I didn't feel a connection to the story.....was there a story? Anyway, I'm going to read the rest of the books and then maybe It will get more clear.

I usually love her books so I'm not giving up! I have faith in this author!

This is obviously not a standalone so be sure you have the other books before start reading.
The author made it a little easier to be able to afford all eight books since book 1,3,5 and 7 are free.

Publishing date: November 28th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review.*

Oh, I loved this story, it was sweet, fun and oh so hot. I actually have nothing to complain about.

The writing style is great, light and easy and to the point, it also had a lot of dialogues which I happen to love. I absolutely fell in love with all the characters and I hope that there will be more books about these rangers.

This was also a story about people having each other's back in crisis and friends who never gives up on you.

I especially like Jovy and her sense of humour, it gave some good laughs. Stone with his slightly alpha male personality was hot and steamy.

If you like a sweet, fun and hot story with a little brush of serious subjects this is perfect. I love to read more from this author.

Review: Servicing the Target

Servicing the Target Servicing the Target by Cherise Sinclair
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'm crying

and not because the book was so sad but because the story ended.
And what a series, this book is just as good as any of the previous books. The lady knows how to write a good story with great characters.

Ben and Anne have their challenges, the process of changing things when you don't like changes is hard something both Ben and Anne is experiencing. The journey they take together and separately is exiting, fun, sad and very enlightening for them both. The chemistry between them is sparkling and I laughed and cried with them. Anne is trying so hard to be the hard mistress and Ben is trying to be what he thinks she wants him to be.

Some of the characters from previous books gets a little story within the story and that's a real treat. The writing style is excellent, easygoing and still dealing with some heavy topics managing to make it very, very readable.

Uzuri's story should be interesting.

Review: To Command and Collar

To Command and Collar To Command and Collar by Cherise Sinclair
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a book......

5 shining stars with collars on! Master Raoul is magnificent and Kim is so sweet and brave.

Raoul and Kim story is very good and now I have it in audio to. When Raoul buys Kim at a slave auction to save her he never expected to have her for his own, but in preparation to meeting with the handler of the auction she has to pretend to be his slave. Will she manages that without breaking and will Raoul be the one to save her again?

This is the third time I read this book but this time I used audio and the voices made this a experience to remember. Sinclaire has developed her stories from the first book and in adding audio the feeling of being present in the story is overwhelming, I cried and laughed and felt anxiety and excitement alongside the characters.

The storyline and characters are getting better and better. The first couple of books where great entertainment but now I can't put the book away when I first start reading. And I love that she's involved the characters from her previous books.

I feel like every time I read Cherise Sinclair's books I think "omg, this is the best book ever" and then I read another........

The writing style is so easy and light but at the same time it grasp you in your heart and soul and you can't think other than what you experience in the pages of the story.

If you haven't read a Cherise Sinclair book and like BDMS and erotic books you have certainly missed out. I recommend you start with the first in this series and a fair warning; you want be able to stop!

Review: Dark Citadel

Dark Citadel Dark Citadel by Cherise Sinclair
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Club Shadowlands series is one of my favourites and this is the second time reading but this time I'm leaving a review.

Kari is a sweet shy women coming to the club with her boyfriend who she doesn't have the right chemistry with. As a widower Dan has no interest in starting a relationship and is full of guilt after losing his wife. But what happens when they are put together in the training program for subs?

I loved this book and the only thing making it a weaker 5 star is that I thought Dan was described a little to cold, but that's only because I didn't want him to be........:-)

The writing style is as always excellent, to the point and no unnecessary chitchat, at times it was fun and most of the time it was hotter than the pavement on a hot summer day.

Kari and her insecurities made me sympathies with her and I recognised the issues, I laughed and cried with her and I wanted to kick Dan's ass at one point.

There are some very good scenes in this book and if you are a BDMS fan you will enjoy this story.

This time I bought the audiobook and I have to say the author picked an excellent voice.......

Lauralie has fought her way up from a crappie childhood and has her own bakery. Booker is the town sheriff and comes from a more privileged upbringing. He wants Lauralie but she's not willing to be his. But then her bakery burn down and she needs hel. Booker offers her money to pretend to be his girlfriend, so this is his chance, but will he succeed?

This was a great story and I can't say anything about it bothered me. It was a good storyline and a writing style that's a joy to read. The characters are well described and it had a lot of feelings.

There were some really nice love scenes that were very well written and some scenes made me cry. This story held a lot of feelings and that's what I like about a book.

The story is about that choosing to love someone demands courage and that's not easy for a person not used to being loved.

Very good book!

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*
I liked this book very much and I like kinky stuff but there was one tiny little bit in this book that was a little over the top for me.

Alexander is a straight quarterback from a wealthy family, he is planning a future as a lawyer but what he really wants is to paint. He and his friends goes to a BDMS club and he gets challenged to participate in a scene with a mail Dom, Lincoln. To his amazement he enjoys it. But he denies he's gay.

This story is about breaking free from judgement and old patterns and show the world who you really are regardless of what other think.

The writing style is to my liking, easygoing and intens with a lot of feelings. The characters are well described and the storyline is good. The build up was great and I felt that the easygoing writing didn't make the more serious topic in the book seems less important.

I could read more from this author and I love to read Tank's story, a Dom in progress.

This book contains BDMS scenes and adult content.

Review: Justice for Mackenzie

Justice for Mackenzie Justice for Mackenzie by Susan Stoker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hearts in my eyes

This story had me sighing in contentment, laughing till I cried, gasping in horror and twisting in excitement. I absolutely f$#ing love it!!!!!

The writing style is light and fun and lots of dialogues which I can't say enough times that I like.

The characters was well written, Mackenzie was rambling on and Daxton was so calm and his voice rumbling. I think the author did excellent in getting me as a reader to see how this two people fit so well together.

The build up in the story was very well and I wasn't bored one minute through the story.

I love love love Dax's filthy mouth and Mack's sweetness. If you read this book you need tissues because oh my god how I sobbed in the end.

This is the first book in a series but can be read as a standalone, although I promise if you read this you'll want to read the next. Good luck ignoring that pull, I can't

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving a honest review.*

I liked this story very much, it was one of those easy reads that just makes time fly by. It was fun, sweet and hot.

Kayla and Cooper's story is about how you presume someone sees you in a certain way but your presumptions might be wrong. They both misread their parents meaning of them and takes wrong decisions for them self because of that.

The writing style was great and I always love a story with enough dialogues to not make it boring. The build up in the story was good and no cliffhanger is a bonus when I read a book.

I loved the easygoing dialogues between the two main characters, it made me chuckle.

There were a good amount of feelings coming through in this story, sweetness, sadness, happiness, love and caring for each other.

Great read if you want something easy to read with lots of feelings.

Review: Wicked Fall

Wicked Fall Wicked Fall by Sawyer Bennett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a story about when your dreams change you got to follow your heart. Woolf don't think Callie belongs in his dream world but what can he do after finally having what he thought was his dream world?

The story of Woolf and Callie is sweet, hot and exiting and I was enchanted from the beginning by Woolf's gruffness and Callie's fearless and sweet attitude.

The writing style is easygoing and fun, a lot of swearing but I kind of liked it because it fitted with the content of the story. But if you're a prude don't read!

Bridger is a anomaly and his part in this story is essential in my opinion, because he helps Woolf see what he really wants. His story is going to be a interesting one and I can't wait......of course I'm going to read the rest of the books in this series.

Although it is a series it can be read as a standalone! Enjoy!

Review: Daring Fate

Daring Fate Daring Fate by Megan Erickson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: November 14th

*I was gifted this ARC, and I'm freely giving my review of it*

This is not a genre I have ever read, and I never thought I would read, but I'm a Megan Erickson reader so I had to try and besides it's said to be healthy to try something new once in awhile.

Reese and Jude is in their enemies holding as their sister Selena is facing a cruel fate in their old pack. But Dare, the Alpha of their enemy pack seems to be Reese's true mate, and they bond in every way. But what happens when Reese and Jude wants to save their sister without telling Dare?

I was so sceptical when I started reading but this wonderful story just dragged me in from first chapter, the only thing I struggled with was that I had to use the glossary at the end of the book some in the beginning. After the first couple of chapters I didn't need it so I could really enjoy my read.

The author has a wonderful way of getting the feelings trough in her stories and the characters is like old friends to me from almost the beginning. I read whit my own feelings on the outside because it's so sweet, sad, raw, exiting, loving, hot..........oh so much feelings......

The storyline is so great and building up towards a ending that sort of leaves you hanging but at the same time gives you closure.

As I read more and more of the story it sort of didn't matter that it's a shifter story, it's still about love, life, survival, betrayal and belonging. The main characters fight to become the best they can be in a cruel world and do what's best for those they love and care about.

Well,Megan Erickson you turned me into a shifter reader, who would have known.
I love, love, love this book and can't wait for the next.

Aidan loses his son Derrick. Chelsea the women he wanted for two years and Derrick's friend Shane is present when it happens. After Aidan turns to Chelsea for comfort, can she give it our will it destroy her in the process?

Oh, what a heartbreaking beginning, so much emotions. I cried from first chapter and this book really got to me. It's a story about loss and guilt and how people handles it so different and at the same time so similar. And it's a story about having hope when all seems hopeless.

I will forever remember this book because it was wonderful but also, when I read it I was in a time in my life where I was struggling with my own problems. This book gave me hope, hope of better times.

The story was great, what I didn't like was Aidan being so destructive but then again I don't know how it is to lose a child so maybe his reasons to act like he did is reasonable.

Chelsea is giving so much to others that she forgets her self. And she is struggling with her own feeling of not being enough. And I also feel like she could grow a pair and stand up for herself, especially regarding to Aidan's ex Mandy.

The authors description of what feelings the characters are struggling with is excellent, I feel it all. The writing style is easy and I enjoyed reading it so much.

This is book 3 in a series of 4 books.

Blank Spaces Blank Spaces by Cass Lennox
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: November 14th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review.*

I love this story so much I almost cried when it ended. This is not your usual m/m romance or erotic, it is unusual and that's what's makes it unique in my mind.

Jonah's cockiness and Vaughn's calmness was a joy to read about. Their differences are well described in a not so obvious way, but you still get it.

I liked the writing style of this author very much, it's light and easy even when it still is about a heavy topic. The description of the characters are very good and I felt like I got to know them well. Both of them essentially longing for love and affection.

This was a story about a man used to be abounded and never felt like he was loved growing up in different foster homes. He ends up with replacing his need for love and care with shallow sex.
Then he meets a man growing up in a loving wealthy family, who is not in to sex and has given up on ever having a relationship because of that.

I thought the ending would bothered me more because it was surprising, but actually after finishing the book I found I liked this ending, it showed that two people can accept each other's different needs.

I could write so much more about this book but then I would give away things that you would want to read yourself.

I would certainly read more from this author.
