Review: Good Boy

Good Boy Good Boy by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Best audio book so far

I love this audio book, I did not once feel bored, if I could I would have listened to it in one setting.

This is what I loved:
* Good storyline that didn’t jump all around and had a steady forward progress
* Characters that was described in a way that made them feel familiar
* Love scenes that burned the sheets (floor, chairs, walls etc πŸ˜‚)
* Narrators that made the listen very enjoyable, I felt like it was a good match and they both read with feelings and made the story come alive. Definitely not going to hesitate if I see a audio book with their voices.
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* The dialogues was plenty and I like that.

I loved this on so much that I probably would listen to it again sometime.

Review: Harbour Falls

Harbour Falls Harbour Falls by S.R. Grey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

* I received a copy of this audio book and freely give my review *

What did you love best about Harbour Falls?
The plot

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes, it was good and unpredictable

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The women narrator was good but could have been more clear in her pronation.
I didn’t like the voice she made for the male characters, they were more like whisper and that made it hard to hear properly.
I wish there had been a male narrator in addition to the female.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No

Any additional comments?
The lacking of connection between the two main characters was one of the reasons this book didn’t move me in any way.
I felt there was no emotions and although feelings were described it never felt realistic and romantic.
The plot was on the other hand very good and intriguing.
It’s not a HEA but it’s not totally a cliffhanger so I could maybe read the next book, maybe!

Review: His Obsession Next Door

His Obsession Next Door His Obsession Next Door by Cathryn Fox
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A story filled with feelings

I liked this book very much because:
* The storyline was good
* The characters had personal growth throughout the story and the author showed that clearly
* There’s no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Enough dialogues to keep the story interesting at all times
* Love scenes that is hot and still described in a way that makes the scenes tasteful
* Good narrator but I do prefer when there’s two narrators because the male voice is not easy to do well for a women although this narrator almost made it.
* I loved that there were so much feeling in this book that it made me wipe some tears from time to time.

This author is now on my TBR list. I recommend this book to all that like a hero who looks after the heroine even though she is strong and independent.

Review: The Shameless Hour

The Shameless Hour The Shameless Hour by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Strong independent women

I liked this book about a women that’s self confident and a guy with some insecurities. Bella and Rafe’s story was intriguing and sweet.

This is what I liked:
* Good storyline
* Characters that is realistic and NOT flawless which makes them real for me as a reader.
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Lots of dialogues
* Sweet and burning hot love scenes
* Both main characters are on a journey to evolve in to adulthood which isn’t a easy task. I think the author described it very good.

This is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.
I have this as a audio book in addition to ebook and the narrator is good.
4 strong stars 🌟

Quotes and Highlights:

His words curled around me like a blanket. They settled over my soul, beginning the work of filling all the dings and scratches I’d sustained these past few weeks.”

ABOUT WANDERLUST:

They say Paris is always a good idea...

You know what I say? Paris would be a much better idea if I spoke the dang language. I can't even board the metro to visit the Louvre without ending up at the Moulin Rouge, and let's not even mention how I'll ever make it through a day at my new office.

Fortunately my company hooks me up with my own personal translator. Ooh la la. Or should I say bloody hell? Because he's charming, witty, and British, and he brings the city to life for me. Soon, I can order a croque monsieur hold the ham, discuss perfume with my co-workers, and barter at the outdoor market. I can also tell the sexy Brit by my side how much I want him to kiss me under the streetlamps.

Except there's a catch - Paris might be all we have.

***

One more assignment before I can take off on my big adventure...

And it's a good farewell gig too since my newest client is a fetching American who loves to explore the cafes and cobbled streets while I teach her the language of love. We fall into a fast and flirty friendship, but Paris has a way of making lovers out of friends, and soon we're spending our nights together too - trΓ¨s

risquΓ©. The trouble is, my wanderlust is calling to me, and soon I'll be traveling the globe to fulfill a promise I made long ago.

What could possibly go wrong with falling in love in Paris? Nothing...unless one of you is leaving.

*Includes a special bonus interview with the author!*

Review: Calendar Girl: Volume Two

Calendar Girl: Volume Two Calendar Girl: Volume Two by Audrey Carlan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amazing journey

Mia is continuing her journey and it lets her experience friendship, family love, cruelty and most of all opening her eyes to how many people loves her.

I will not go in to each months story but more generally what I like about this books. Dislikes.....eh, not that I can point out.

* Light and fun writing style.
* Lots of dialogues
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Characters described with emotions and in a realistic way
* Hot love scenes

I love that this journey is also a journey for Mia’s awareness of her self, she learns so much about her self as a human in addition to all the people she meets and learn about.

I look forward to the next 3 months with Mia.

* This is bundle 2 in a series and I highly recommend reading from the beginning of this series because that will give more meaning when characters are mentioned.

* I also recommend audio for these books as they have a very good narrator.

Happy reading!

Quotes and Highlights:

“My journey this year is long, and if at the end, I’m meant to be with a certain man, I will be.”

“Now I treat men the same way they treat women. As something to enjoy while they’re there. Nothing more, nothing less. No expectations for more, just a good time and a lot of pleasure.”

“You are very lost and on a great journey. Never fear. You will find great joy in the experience before committing to your forever.”

“I learned that no matter what love looked like or how hard I had to put myself out there and take risks, it had to be done. If what I wanted in life and love was meant to be, it would be worth it in the end.“

“The part that was meant to be was the people I was taking into my heart, into my soul. The men and women who would stay with me…who would add to what was now my family. They were the reason for this journey as much, if not more,“

Review: All I Want

All I Want All I Want by J. Daniels
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another great read

I love this book even more than the first in this series if it’s possible. Tessa and Luke is having sort of a relationship when something happens to break them up. After a year it all gets even more complicated.

Grumpy Luke is completely adorable and irritating but Tessa can handle him.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues and there’s no no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings. I enjoyed this book very much and the audio is great listening to.

Lots of feelings and hot love scenes is very describing for this book.

5 stars ⭐️ from me for a good love story with well written characters I don’t want to say goodbye to.

Quotes and Highlights:

“My dad hasn’t been living here. He’s been slowly dying here.“

“I love you. Those words are yours. I’ll never say them to anyone else.”

Review: About That Fling

About That Fling About That Fling by Tawna Fenske
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wonderful chaos

Jenna’s one night stand turns out to be so much more than that. Her working private relationships will all be affected.

Note that I alternately read and listened to this book and the audible was very good.

I love this book so much because of the realism in it, this could happen in real life. As a person familiar with the consequences of a divorce I could relate to the story.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues and there’s no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings. I laughed at Adam and Jenna’s dialogues, they seemed so connected and carefree at the first meeting.

I felt like I got to know the characters very good and could easily have read more of them.

If you like fun and realistic romance that are well written I will recommend this one highly. It’s high on my my list of good reads this year!

Review: Porn Star

Porn Star Porn Star by Laurelin Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So much more then p*rn

I love this book, sexy, funny, sad and more meaningful then I thought it would be.
Two porn stars falling in love and all the compilations that involves. What the h*ll!!!

I liked the writing style because it's filled with dialogues and has understandable sentences even when they describes the thoughts in the characters minds.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and well described characters makes this journey very enjoyable.

Logan was not very likeable in the beginning but he grew on me so in the end I loved him the most 😍

This is a book that gives you a little more understanding about the struggles some people have in the industry. Because the industry is here to stay it's just a human right to make the people working in it feel safe. (that's all the seriousness I'll put out there)

Anyway, this was a 5 star read.
