“In a million years I wouldn’t want to pick up where we left off. Where we left off is the biggest regret of my life. I was falling for you just as hard as you were falling for me. That’s the truth, Violet Smith. Violet-like-the-flower, it was always you for me.“

Review: Reed

Reed (Cold Fury, Book #10)
Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: February 6, 2018

Synopsis:
Hockey season may be over, but in New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett’s new novel, a Carolina Cold Fury heartbreaker is heating things up off the ice and eager to score with the girl next door.

No one skates like Reed Olson. In the off-season, no one plays like him either. After back-to-back championships, Reed craves a different kind of action. Good thing there’s no shortage of women ready for a summer fling with a sports star. Reed has a specific type—blond, busty, not too bright—and a little black book full of options. But when his bed starts rocking, it’s his unexpectedly sexy neighbor who comes knocking. And the brainy beauty is impossible to ignore.

Josie Ives desperately needs something her celebrity neighbor obviously doesn’t: sleep. His headboard banging against the wall is keeping her up at night—not to mention inspiring some very naughty dreams. Reed is everything she imagined: a little too good-looking, with a body that puts Greek gods to shame. But he’s also funny and charming—a tempting combination. Josie’s the opposite of his type, yet the chemistry between them is undeniable. Their friendship certainly has its benefits, and it’s heating up to be so much more.

Sawyer Bennett’s New York Times bestselling Carolina Cold Fury series can be read together or separately.

About the Author:

Since the release of her debut contemporary romance novel, Off Sides, in January 2013, Sawyer Bennett has released multiple books, many of which have appeared on the New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists.

A reformed trial lawyer from North Carolina, Sawyer uses real life experience to create relatable, sexy stories that appeal to a wide array of readers. From new adult to erotic contemporary romance, Sawyer writes something for just about everyone.

Sawyer likes her Bloody Marys strong, her martinis dirty, and her heroes a combination of the two. When not bringing fictional romance to life, Sawyer is a chauffeur, stylist, chef, maid, and personal assistant to a very active daughter, as well as full-time servant to her adorably naughty dogs. She believes in the good of others, and that a bad day can be cured with a great work-out, cake, or even better, both.

Sawyer also writes general and women’s fiction under the pen name S. Bennett and sweet romance under the name Juliette Poe.

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Another Cold Fury Hockey player find his one and only. Reed has a type and his new neighbour is not his usual type but Josie becomes a friend....until there is more......

This series is so good and it’s on my reread list. This is what I liked:

* Good storyline with the right progress to make the story hold my interest.
* Love scenes that’s sweet and hot.
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Perfect amount of dialogues
* Wonderful descriptions of the secondary characters that makes me very impatient to read the next book (Marek)
* Good communication between the characters with som complications without being to much drama.
* Easy and enjoyable read; it’s not a book with soul wrenching topics but a entertaining read that makes me feel good.

I recommend this series so much and they can be read as standalone but the best is to start at the beginning. This is book 10.
Good 5 star 🌟

ABOUT WANDERLUST:

They say Paris is always a good idea...

You know what I say? Paris would be a much better idea if I spoke the dang language. I can't even board the metro to visit the Louvre without ending up at the Moulin Rouge, and let's not even mention how I'll ever make it through a day at my new office.

Fortunately my company hooks me up with my own personal translator. Ooh la la. Or should I say bloody hell? Because he's charming, witty, and British, and he brings the city to life for me. Soon, I can order a croque monsieur hold the ham, discuss perfume with my co-workers, and barter at the outdoor market. I can also tell the sexy Brit by my side how much I want him to kiss me under the streetlamps.

Except there's a catch - Paris might be all we have.

***

One more assignment before I can take off on my big adventure...

And it's a good farewell gig too since my newest client is a fetching American who loves to explore the cafes and cobbled streets while I teach her the language of love. We fall into a fast and flirty friendship, but Paris has a way of making lovers out of friends, and soon we're spending our nights together too - très

risqué. The trouble is, my wanderlust is calling to me, and soon I'll be traveling the globe to fulfill a promise I made long ago.

What could possibly go wrong with falling in love in Paris? Nothing...unless one of you is leaving.

*Includes a special bonus interview with the author!*

Review: Most Likely To Score

Most Likely To Score Most Likely To Score by Lauren Blakely
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I like this story about the party boy trying to be good with the help of a women. I’ve read some Lauren Blakely books and their all good entertainment but after a while I feel like the previous book is to similar to the next. That’s just my humble opinion and I still choose to read because they entertain me and is that not the purpose?

Over to what I really like in this book:
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Lots of fun dialogues
* Hot and emotional love scenes
* No over the top drama, thank goodness 😅
* Good communication between the main characters, for the most part

All in all this is a entertaining enjoyable book that I give 4 strong stars 🌟

Quotes and Highlights:

“I’m not an exhibitionist. I simply find I don’t have a need for clothes most of the time, unless I’m on the field or at a public appearance. Obviously.“

“And then when I talked to you, you just stared straight at me, but you didn’t look at me.” He takes a beat, breathes hard, then seems to let go of his anger. “And all I want is to look at you.”

all of me wants to see all of him.”

Review: Calendar Girl: Volume Two

Calendar Girl: Volume Two Calendar Girl: Volume Two by Audrey Carlan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amazing journey

Mia is continuing her journey and it lets her experience friendship, family love, cruelty and most of all opening her eyes to how many people loves her.

I will not go in to each months story but more generally what I like about this books. Dislikes.....eh, not that I can point out.

* Light and fun writing style.
* Lots of dialogues
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Characters described with emotions and in a realistic way
* Hot love scenes

I love that this journey is also a journey for Mia’s awareness of her self, she learns so much about her self as a human in addition to all the people she meets and learn about.

I look forward to the next 3 months with Mia.

* This is bundle 2 in a series and I highly recommend reading from the beginning of this series because that will give more meaning when characters are mentioned.

* I also recommend audio for these books as they have a very good narrator.

Happy reading!

Quotes and Highlights:

“My journey this year is long, and if at the end, I’m meant to be with a certain man, I will be.”

“Now I treat men the same way they treat women. As something to enjoy while they’re there. Nothing more, nothing less. No expectations for more, just a good time and a lot of pleasure.”

“You are very lost and on a great journey. Never fear. You will find great joy in the experience before committing to your forever.”

“I learned that no matter what love looked like or how hard I had to put myself out there and take risks, it had to be done. If what I wanted in life and love was meant to be, it would be worth it in the end.“

“The part that was meant to be was the people I was taking into my heart, into my soul. The men and women who would stay with me…who would add to what was now my family. They were the reason for this journey as much, if not more,“

Review: Calendar Girl: Volume One

Calendar Girl: Volume One Calendar Girl: Volume One by Audrey Carlan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a collection of the 3 first books in this series and I’m falling for Mia more and more, her compassion and openness to new things and how she adjusts to her clients without giving up on her self in the process.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues and there’s no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings. I listen to audio version and the narrator is good and the pronunciation is very clear.

Characters descriptions is good and the feelings inside the characters is conveyed in a way that makes they seem realistic.

I find the storyline intriguing and I feel like the author is trying to say that there’s many different kinds of love that can be experienced between different people.

I love this series and give it a 5 stars 🤩 review.
